La Grange IL – April 2, 2021 – Neighborhood businesses are enticing shoppers with free gifts, discounts and one-day-only offers during the La Grange Shopping Stroll, a spring sales promotion organized by the La Grange Business Association on Saturday, April 17 from 10am – 4pm.
Shoppers are invited for a day of shopping and pampering with limited-time deep discounts at dozens of locations. A map to all the stops will be handed out during the stroll or online at lagrangeevents.com.
Beginning at 10am, colorful complimentary tote bags will be distributed to the first 100 customers who start their stroll at Linnea Jewelers, 23 S. Ashland, the event’s presenting sponsor. Shoppers can visit participating merchants with their totes to receive free gifts, samples or special offers while supplies last.
Shoppers may also be eligible to win one of five $50 gift cards to La Grange restaurants when they visit the stroll stops and have their map stamped. Details on the Spring Shopping Stroll can be found here.

The Spring Shopping Stroll is another event in a series organized by the La Grange Business Association to help position La Grange as a shopping and dining destination. “We invite you to explore La Grange and visit all of the places you’ve been wanting to try,” said Sarah Boyce, the business group’s president. “Stop into a business that you haven’t visited before. Get to know the owner. Support small. Our local businesses drive our economy, create jobs and they are the heart and soul of La Grange,” she said.

Linnea Jewelers, a woman-owned business at 23 S. Ashland Avenue, is the main sponsor of the Shopping Stroll. Locally referred to as “the Diamond Whisperers,” the staff has been creating custom pieces for women in La Grange for 26 years. The shop is extending its annual Ladies Night Out storewide sale from April 14 through the Spring Shopping Stroll on April 17.
Denise Oros, the store owner, says this shopping day emphasizes the importance of exploring and supporting the diverse retailers in the community. “La Grange is home to so many unique shops and services, and this is a great opportunity to visit as many of them as you can,” she said. “We’re so grateful for the continued loyalty that we’ve seen throughout the pandemic from the local community.
