Donald Vear recently joined New York Life and has been in this industry for over 33 years. Donald resides in Western Springs with his wife Maureen and has two children, Matt and Maggie. He enjoys traveling and spending time with the family, swimming, biking, golfing and long walks with his wife. On weekends, he donates his time to the local church to help feed the homeless. Donald has had the pleasure of having his brother Robert join him in the business recently. He is very excited to have Robert on board and enjoys doing joint work together for their clients. He has been working with individuals, small and mid-size companies, providing estate planning, investments*, retirement planning, Long Term Care Insurance, and other insurance programs. By taking a holistic view of the client’s overall picture, it enables him to provide them with sound guidance.
Robert joined Don at Vear Financial after a successful background in the financial markets. Prior to providing guidance on business and personal protection through insurance products, he was an Assistant Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer of a managed futures mutual fund. In Chicago and London, he was the director and head proprietary trader of market-making firms. Robert assists families and small companies achieve peace of mind through knowledgeable product placement for their unique situation. Mr. Vear received his bachelor of science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Robert and his wife, Lynn, live in their childhood town of La Grange with their daughters, Adelaide, Elizabeth, and Caroline.
Bob and Don both participate in and promote local aquatic programs in swimming and water polo. As parents of students at University of Iowa, University of Dayton, Marquette University, University of Wisconsin, and LTHS; their academic and sports endeavors have grown with their children.
