Mark your calendars, La Grange! Milk Money Brewing’s Summerfest is back for its third year, promising a weekend packed with live music, delicious food, and family fun – all under the summer sun.

While many know Milk Money Brewing as a local hangout with fantastic craft beers, the Summerfest offers a chance to experience the brewery in a whole new light. Originally conceived as a grand opening celebration in 2020, the event quickly evolved into an annual tradition.

This year, under the leadership of General Manager Ian Smoke, the festival expands to a three-day extravaganza from July 12th to 14th. Expect a diverse lineup of live music acts, with a special nod to the Grateful Dead thanks to Ian’s self-proclaimed “Deadhead” status. Rock & Rye, a Chicagoland favorite known for their Grateful Dead tributes, will headline Friday night.

Kids Activities

But Summerfest isn’t just about jamming out. It’s a celebration for the whole family. On Saturday and Sunday, keep the little ones entertained with face painting and balloon artistry from 1pm to 5pm. The food trucks will be serving up kid-friendly options like cheeseburgers and quesadillas alongside tasty treats for the adults.

Food and Cocktails

Speaking of food, the festival boasts a special taqueria serving up unique creations by Chef Oscar Martinez. And for those looking for a refreshing summery cocktail, be sure to check out the Highwest bar featuring their signature Watermelon Smash.

Live Music at the Summer Festival

The music lineup promises a mix of genres. Mr. Blotto, a national touring act with local La Grange roots, will bring their jam band energy. Expect to be transported to the Wild West with the Hoyle Brothers, known for their country western and western swing sounds. Local favorites Calliegh McPartlin and Bree Gordon will reunite to open the Sunday festivities, and the Milk Money House Band, featuring some of the brewery’s regulars including bartender Andrew Galletti, will close out the festival in style.

The event takes place in the parking lot three doors north of the brewery’s entrance at 75 S La Grange Rd, conveniently located right next to the La Grange Craft Fair. With plenty of parking available nearby, it’s the perfect destination for a fun-filled weekend in La Grange.

So grab your friends and family, head to Milk Money Brewing, and raise a glass to summer!
