The La Grange Business Association is hosting a safe, socially distanced public event in downtown La Grange this Friday, March 5 to rally the community for the final 10 days of the La Grange Stands for Small Business Raffle which can be found at www.lagrangeevents.com.
The event will include appearances by some of the musicians from The Shannon Rovers of Chicago and “Lucky the La Grange Leprachaun.” They will appear at Horton’s Home Lighting/Ace Hardware & Palmer Place Restaurant in La Grange – two longstanding businesses in the Village of La Grange who are working with 28 businesses and the La Grange Business Association for the community fundraising campaign. As an added incentive, Horton’s Home Lighting and Palmer Place Restaurant will give away a $5 gift card to anyone who purchases a raffle ticket at their store & restaurant respectively from 12-1pm on Friday.
These small businesses in La Grange could receive a tremendous shot in the arm when they split the proceeds from a community raffle launched last month to raise relief funds for La Grange businesses affected by the loss of revenue during the pandemic.
For individuals who purchase $10 raffle tickets through March 14, three will collect prize baskets filled with $3000 in gift cards that have been provided by participating restaurants, retailers and wellness businesses. Proceeds from all ticket sales will be shared equally by all of the participating businesses.
In addition to an outstanding prize basket filled with gift cards from 28 participating businesses valued at $3000, the top prize winner will now also enjoy a bonus VIP Chef’s Dinner at The Elm for four people valued at $500.
Attendees will be able to purchase raffle tickets onsite with their smart phone utilizing QR codes with posters or by going to www.lagrangeevents.com. The three winners will be announced live on Facebook on March 16 at noon.
